Out in the middle of the field *John lays on a slight slope, watching the sun set. His mind is clear of everything.* Girl: Enjoying yourself? John: *Looks up.* Whoa, hey Megan! ...Never thought I'd see you here. What's up? Megan: Nothing much... But I became a mercenary-- Like you. John: *Looks back at the horizon.* ...Hmm... Megan: *Sits down in the grass.* I heard you have a few friends, they're mercenaries. John: Old news. Megan: John: I'd gladly let you join. Megan: Your group? John: Yeah. Megan: *Stays silent for a moment.* I'll think about it. John: I'll have to talk to Chris, too. Megan: Chris? John: Brains of the operation. Megan: Oh. John: Aaaaanyway... What brings you around the Main Continent? Megan: A contract. John: A contract? Are you still doing it? Megan: Yeah. Before you go getting ideas, no, you can't help me. It's a solo operation. John: I understand. Megan: Well... It's getting dark. I'll be going now. John: You need a ride? I got the jeep. Megan: Yeah, I need a quick way back. Thanks. Megan: Yes. Very. John: Well, after I got out of the Marienes, I was looking for a job, and Chris was looking for a partner...So, I joined up with him, and as you know we made a company. Then we had Jake Conner join...be careful when your around him...he likes girls..*winks* Megan: Well, you've been bussy too. John: Yeah. Megan: So, where is Chris and Jake? John: Chris is in the gardens. I don't know when he will be back, and Jake is at his house. Megan: Ok. Well, theres my place. John: Ok *He pulls over and Megan gets out* Megan: Thanks for the ride! She'll make a good addition to the team... The Next Day - Sunny Day Inn *Megan holsters her 92FS and straps on a G36.* Megan: Show time. *She goes downstairs and out the door. She pulls out her walkie talkie.* Megan: Where to, el capitan? ???: Go to Nookiya Forest, east region. That was their last location. Megan: Roger. Psi Blade out. *Puts the radio back on her belt.* Alright... which way to Nookiya? *Pulls a map out of her pocket and unfolds it.* Ah. *Puts it back and begins walking.* I really need to get myself a jeep. RE: Out in the middle of the field *As she is walking down the road she sees a building that matches a discription of the building she is looking for* *She loads her gun* *She kicks open the door* Megan: FREEZE! *No one is in the room* *She goes around to all the rooms, there is no one in them* *She comes to the LAST room, she opens it, and there is a body laying on the floor* *She goes up to the body* Man: its...its...its a trap... Megan: Common. I have to get you out of here. Man: No. Don't move...me... RE: Out in the middle of the field Megan: *She grits her teeth and curses herself for her foolishness. She pulls out her cell phone and pulls out a paper. John's number. She dials it and puts the phone to her ear.* Phone: Bbbrrring bbrring bring!! John: *Picks it up.* SG&C. Megan: John. Help. John: Huh? Megan: Trapped. I'm... I'm trapped in a building somewhere in the east part of the Nookiya. John: Niiice. I'm coming right now. See ya later. *Hangs up. Gets his jetpack and goggles and goes outside. He puts on the goggles and activates the jetpack, flying off toward Nookiya Forest.* Megan: *Slumps down against one of the bars. She looks around, twiddling her thumbs.* Any minute now... *The door opens and John walks in.* John: Long time no see. Megan: *Looks at his jetpack.* Nice 'pack. John: Thanks. *Goes over to a computer.* I'm guessing this is where you lift the cage... *Looks around it.* Nope. Looks like we just lift it up. *Goes over to the cage and tries to lift it. No luck.* Why would they want to trap you anyway? Megan: Confidential. John: Pffft. *Continues trying to lift the cage.* This thing's heavy... Looks like we have to try something else. *Looks around the room.* Nothing to wedge in there... I'll be back. *Leaves the room. He goes outside and looks around. He finds a thick branch and a medium sized rock. He brings them inside. He wedges the branch under the cage and sets the rock under the middle of it. He pushes on the other end. No luck. He stands on it. The cage lifts up just long enough for Megan to get out.* Megan: Thanks. I'm back from my mission. I saw the note you left on the table... *In closet* John: ooooh. That's Chris. *They walk out* *Chris turns around and sees them* Chris: I KNEW you where here. John: How? Chris: The letter. John: But, what if I hadn't gotten here yet? Chris: I knew you where here though...Anyway, common lets get this guy out. *They go over to the stick.* Chris: John, help me with this thing. *John comes over* *They both push down on the limb* *Megan goes back under the cage* *The limb starts to crack* Chris: Hurry! *She grabs the man and drags him out* *As soon as they get him out, the limb snaps* Megan: That was close. Thank you. John: No problem. I didn't find anything out of the ordinary in the building, other than a cage trapping me. ???: Are you out? What was your method of escape? Megan: My classmate saved me. ???: We're just glad to know you're safe. Where are you? Can you continue your mission? Megan: I'm at my friend's house.
