Ultima is a Bio Shell, manufactured on a different planet. Bio Shells are controlled by people, their owners, called Minds. The Bio Shells' brains and personality develop from experience of how the Mind controls them, but are rarely given a chance to do anything for themselves. Ultima's Mind, Kansing Luat, spends most of his time sending Ultima around Meeriad, looking for answers. Why, where and when did the monsters appear? Who did it? Ultima would like to know the same thing.
