| The Phone Call *Gunner was on his way home to see his fiancèe, Kristi, when his call phone rang* Gunner: Hello? ????: Gunner Michaels? Gunner: Yes... who is this? ????: Lets leave that till later. You assisted SG&C in the capture of Quiching recently, correct? Gunner: ...... That depends on whos asking. ????: Thats what I thought. Listen, Quiching was a good friend of mine. Mr. Michaels, you seem to have made a grave mistake. Gunner: Who are you? ????: *there is some shuffling noises in the background* Someone would like to speak to you. Kristi: Gunner! Don't come home! They broke into the house, theres so many of them..*a thump is heard* OW! ????: Gunner, surrender yourself to us or she will die. Gunner: What!? ????: You have 1 hour, Mr. Michaels. And don't bother calling SG&C, they're occupied with other business right now. And don't try calling the police. I own the police here, Mr. Micahels. Just give yourself up and your fiancèe will not be harmed. Gunner: I'll see you in an hour then. ????: Good choice, Mr. Michaels. *hangs up* Gunner: *stands up in the train car and slams his fist into the back of the chair in front of him* SLAG IT!! Attendant: Sir, please sit down. We'll be arriving at your stop in 15 minutes. Gunner: *sits* not long to prepare... -Fifteen minutes later- *Gunner steps off the train carrying his luggage (mostly gun cases). He goes to where he parked his car when he left his town* Gunner: What am I gonna do? *throws everything into the backseat and trunk* *Gunner gets in the car and starts to drive home. A few blocks away, he parks the car in a random driveway. He then gets out, opens the trunk, pulls out his Beretta M92F with attached silencer and his colt Ar15-A2 Carbine* Gunner: I give myself up to no one, and no one threatens Kristi. Why do I always have to do thigs the hard way? *Gunner approaches in the woods behind his house. He sneaks up to the tool shed. He looks around and, seeing no one, goes into the toolshed* *There are two men in the toolshed* Thug1: Good thing the boss told us to wait in here, now we get to kill the unlucky Slagger. *Gunner whips out his Berretta and shoots the first thug in the head while punching the second thug int he jaw with his other hand, breaking the mans jaw* Thug2: *lets out a painful and silen Argh! and raises his Carbine* *Guner quickly shoots the man's hand and he drops the gun. He kicks him in the chest, knocking him onto the ground and then stomps down on the man's neck. He holds his foot there for a minute as the man sufficates, then he turns his attention towards his work bench* Gunner: How am I gonna get inside without making any noise? *Gunner grabs a roll of duct tape and a hammer* Gunner: This could work.... *Gunner looks outside to see a guard patrolling the backyard* Gunner: (under breath) He wasn't there before... *Gunner takes aim with his silenced Beretta and waits for the guard to be clear of all windows, so no one inside can see him die. Gunner takes his shot and hits the man directly in the left temple* *Gunner looks around once more, then covertly rolls along the groun to the paint ladder leaning against the house. He sets it up and gets on top of the roof. Stepping lightly, he makes his way to the bathroom, which has a skylight. He looks inside and sees a guard in the bathroom. He waits. As soon as the man exits, Gunner Takes out the duct tape and spreads it all over the skylight window, then hits it with the hammer. The glass breaks noiselessly, and gunner peels the tape off, and with it, the window. Gunner drops into the bathroom* Gunner: SO far, so good, but how can I get to Kristi when I don't know where she is or how many guards are in each room..... | RE: The Phone Call *Gunner peeks through the crack under the door. Seeing two pairs of feet, he decides to tap on the door* Voice1: Did you hear that? Voice2: Yea, go see what it is. *Gunner gets up and stands behind the wall beside the door. The door opens and a man starts to step inside, Gunner grabs the man by the neck and yanks him inside, clear of the doorway and puts a bullet in his head with his silenced beretta* Voice2: Uhm, hey, whats going on? *Gunner waits as he hears the light footsteps approach* Voice2: You in there? *Gunner heard his voice and could tell he was very near the door. Gunner dropped to the ground and leaned out near the bottom of the door. The man was standing in the doorway now and didn't notice Gunner down by his feet* *Gunner unloaded five silenced shots with the beretta up into the mans body, starting at the crotch and going straight up, coming out of his head.* *Gunner stepped over the man's crumpled body and into the Guest Bedroom* Gunner: Well, that was close.... | Gunner Howling Wind Agent Banned (Cause I put it here!) | RE: The Phone Call Just so you know, a silencer doesn't actually silence... The proper name is "sound suppressor" or "sound dampener". The guy outside the bathroom would have still easily heard the gunshot.  It's not like the movies where it's just a little twang. It depends on the gun, but a sound suppressor usually drops the sound just below the volume that would damage your ears and changes it to where it doesn't really sound like a gunshot anymore. | RE: The Phone Call Hmm.... oh well.... does it really matter though? I'm not exactly using the regular battle standards in this anyway, and I don't expect and EXP from it, I'm just kind of having fun with it.... | RE: The Phone Call (OOC: Basically, the only reason I'm not doing this in the role-play forum is because I want him to be able to remember doing it later, like it actually happened and stuff, but I don't want to apply any of the rules or anything) -BIC- *Gunner creeps out of the Guest Bedroom door and into the hallway, there is one guard, but his back is turned. Gunner cuffs his hand around the guards mouth and knocks him in the temple with the hammer in his other hand. He drags the dazed guard back to the guest bedroom and continues to bash his head in, leaving a bloody mess everywhere* Gunner: Lucky he was facing the other way.... *Gunner goes back into the hallway and stops at the door leading to the basement, he listens* ???: He weill be in here in one half hour, go upstairs and make sure he doesn't make it down here, I know this man's history, and he won't just give up. Gunner: *whispers* thats the man who called me... Voice: yes sir. *Gunner heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He waited, then flung the door open and kicked the guard in the chest. The guard rolled down the stairs and broke his neck in the process* *Gunner un pulled out his Carbine and ran halfway down the stairs, then dove outward and unloaded into two other guards who were in the basement. Gunner was alone with the strange man and Kristi. The man had a gun to Kristi's head.* Gunner: Who are you, and what is your connection with Quiching? ???: That is none of your business *he tightens his grip on his gun* *Gunner notices hes right beside the fuse box. He quickly opens it and rips out a fuse, the lights in the basement go out* *Gunshots are heard* *The light comes back on with gunner putting the fuse back in, the mysterious man dead on the floor, and Kristi crouched on the floor holding a bleeding shoulder* Kristi: If you think I'm going to marry you after this Gunner, you've got another thing coming you crazy son of a- Gunner: *interrupts her* Shhh! *Footsteps are heard upstairs heading for the basement* Gunner: Oh.... slag.... | Gunner Howling Wind Agent Banned (Cause I put it here!) | RE: The Phone Call Gunner hears a clang and a rattle as something hits the basement floor. He looks and sees a flashbang. Gunner: Cover your eyes and ears! He grabs Kristi and the dead man's gun and dives into a corner. They both cover their eyes and ears right before the flashbang explodes. Their ears ring, but they can still hear. Three men with HK XM8s enter the basement. To their surprise, Gunner has not been blinded or deafened, and, with a gun in each hand, he takes them out with relative ease. Gunner: Let's get the heck out of here. He reloads both guns and gives Kristi the dead man's gun, and they head up the basement stairs. At the top of the stairs, he holsters his Beretta and shoulders his AR15. He kicks the door open. A bewildered guard is standing there. Before the guard can react, Gunner hits him in the face with the stock of his rifle and double-taps him in the chest. Kristi: This place is... a mess. Gunner turns. ???: Put your guns down. His eyes meet a police officer. Sergeant: What's going on here? The neighbors heard gunfire, and lots of it. Gunner: These thugs kidnapped my fiancée and broke into my house. Sergeant: There sure are a lot of bodies around here. An officer comes up from the basement. Officer: Sir, we've identified one of the bodies in the basement. It's Chad Fisher. Sergeant: Well, looks like you've done a mighty fine deed. He's been wanted, dead or alive, for three years. Kristi: Yes, Gunner, the excitement was fun for awhile, but, I don't want that life anymore. Gunner: You don't have the life! I do! Kristi: Look what happened to me today! You're dragging me into your life just by being engaged to me! Gunner: That won't happen again Kristi.. Kristi: (cuts him off) I know it won't, cause this it's over between us! I don't want to have to live my entire life wondering if my husband is going to come home to me every night! I don't want that! And thats all I'll have with you! Gunner:...... fine. I understand, I just don't.... understand.... *Gunner heads for the door* Kristi: I'll give you visitation rights... Gunner: *stops and turns* What? Kristi: Gunner.... I'm pregnant Gunner: So what about all this... Kristi: *cuts him off again* I don't want our child wondering if daddy is coming home alive or not! Gunner, just leave, I'll call you in eight months.
