MechAssault Well, I bought it while we were out to see the Two Towers. Cool movie, by the way. I just got done playing through about a level and a half, and so far it seems to be a lot like SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs in terms of controls. There's a drastic difference in the controls of the MechWarrior series and MechAssault. For example, in MechWarrior, it takes FOREVER to even slow down, much less stop. In MechAssault you can stop moving almost instantly. For differences of gameplay, in MechWarrior, projectile weapons have limited amounts of ammunition, and the more ammo you put in the heavier your 'mech is. In MechAssault, you have infinite ammo. In MechWarrior, you have to just do the best you can to not die. In MechAssault, you can find health refills around the level. There are even little thingies that increase your weapon damage, but with a limited number of ammo before it returns to the default, unlimited, weak stuff. It's a pretty fun game, really. The graphics are nice, too. But if you're looking for some MechWarrior type gameplay, don't look to MechAssault for it. | John Gibson 2nd In Command of SG&C Mercenary Immortal 12/27/2002 2:06:35 AM Level: 19 Experience: 31580 Total Posts: 442 |
RE: MechAssault Yeah, it seems like a neat game...I have had my eye on it for when I get an XBox... Do you like MechWarrior or MechAssault more? | Chris Storms 1st In Command of SG&C Mercenary Immortal 12/27/2002 4:42:36 PM Level: 20 Experience: 32580 Total Posts: 1382 |
