Star Wars: Galaxies Has anyone else seen this game? It is still in the beta stages...I have been keeping tabs on it now for about a month or more...It looks like it is going to be one awsome game... It is an Online game...So, you connect and play with other users around the world. Later: Dang...According to something I just read...You have to pay to play... RE: Star Wars: Galaxies Duh... ALL MMORPGs are pay-to-play... SW: Galaxies, SW: Knights of the Old Republic, Everquest, Ultima Online, Asheron's Call, Phantasy Star Online... All five bucks a month or more... Which comes out to 60 bucks a year... At least if they have a lot of players, they can make a lot of money. I pay mom and dad however much it costs to play, and then they use the card to pay online for me...Im sure is how it will happen...IF I get an xbox and one or both of the games...becuase they probably wont run on this computer... btw, where did you see that Knights of the Old Republic was multiplayer? According to xbox.com and other places that I have read from, it is singleplayer...and not pay to play... RE: Star Wars: Galaxies I do believe Final Fantasy XI is also going to be pay-to-play.   But, I don't think I'll get it anyways, as I have a DVD with a bunch of footage from the game on it, and it doesn't look very fun. RE: Star Wars: Galaxies Well, it's because they have to have extremely powerful servers and they need to maintain them. Plus the cost of the connections. So I can understand why they charge you to play it online. But the least they could do is offer a single player so you don't have to play online.
