RE: Linhi John: (Over radio) It might help if Tom, Megan, and Chris could actually get there alive. Jake: Yeah, I guess so. *He sees absolutely nobody. Everything's totally quiet.* Jake: I don't like this... *He continues walking through the town. He sees that all of the buildings are dilapidated. Jake: I don't think this is the place... *He spins around, making sure that nobody is trying to sneak up on him. Still, nobody.* Jake: ...This isn't the place. *He walks back to the Sky Wolf.* Jango: So... what's up? Jake: Nothing. It's completely desserted. Jango: *The Sky Wolf lifts off.* Chris: *Looks at his watch.* I've been circling this stupid city for at least an hour. When are you gonna get back, Jake? *He turns another corner, then another, then drives through the back door of a building. He stops the jeep and grabs his stuff. He fires his grapling hook up to the rafters and climbs up. Not long after, Linhi soldiers pour into the building. Chris waits impatiently for a total of 15 minutes, when the soldiers finally leave.* Chris: Whew... *He drops from the rafters and walks slowly out back out the back door. He comes around the side and looks around. Continuing around the building, he sees some soldiers talking. He quickly goes back around. He tries his best to listen in.* Soldier: What is your problem?! If you don't go back and find that man, Volsak will have my head! Soldier #2: Yes sir. *Soldier #2 heads around the side of the building Chris is on. He scrambles up a pipe as quickly as he can and lays prone, hoping the Linhi didn't see him. He sees more Linhi soldiers flocking toward the building. He tries to get behind something, but to no avail. All of the soldiers land on top of the building and come toward Chris.* Chris: Uhh... Hi guys. Soldier: Captain! We found him. *The soldier that had just gone into the building flies up onto the roof.* Captain: So there you are. *Unsheathes his Hyper Sword.* This'll only hurt for a second... Dang, I always wanted to say that! It's not true though. This'll hurt a lot. Maybe for a while. But oh well. *Raises the sword above his head. Chris easily rolls to the side.* Chris: Idiot. *Jumps up and kicks two of them in the face. He runs and jumps off the building, landing on a tarp over the door of another building. He bounces off of it and continues running. The Linhi fly down and continue chasing him.* Some flashbangs would be useful right now. *Tom and Megan come to the end of the sewer and reluctantly climb the ladder out of it. They don't see anybody, but hear something going on not too far away. Chris runs around the corner, coming toward them. Linhi soldiers follow close behind.* Chris: TURN AROUND AND START RUNNING! *Runs past Tom and Megan. They turn and follow him.* Tom: Could you remind me why Jake left us to fend off the Linhi? Chris: I have no idea. *They turn a corner and eventually end up back at the building where Chris left his jeep. They run in and get in, driving off. They soon lose the soldiers. Chris drives off the road and finds some woods and boulders. He drives behind the bolders and stops the jeep. He reaches into the back, grabs a black tarp, and gets out of the jeep.* Chris: Get out. *Tom and Megan get out of the jeep and Chris covers it with the tarp.* Chris: It'll be harder for them to find us when we're on foot. Tom: *Grabs his radio.* Jake, why did you leave us behind? Jake: *Looks around.* Uhhh... I don't know. Tom: Well, anyway, GET YOUR BUTT BACK HERE! We're in some woods east of Smalia. We're getting tired of running from Linhi. Jake: Uhh... OK. *Not too long after, the Sky Wolf comes down. Chris drives the jeep in, they all get in, and they waste no time leaving.* Jake: Let's try looking somewhere on the Sunder continent. Jango: You got it. *Later, they're flying over the Sunder continent, looking for any towns that aren't on their map. For hours, they look, with no success.* Megan: I say we're on a wild goose chase. Chris: Seems like it. Besides, we have another lead: Volsak. Everyone else: Volsak? Chris: I overheard some soldiers talking, and one of them mentioned Volsak having his head if their don't find me. So... Volsak is either some really high-up guy, or he is THE man that's controlling the soldiers. Jake: It's possible... but we have no idea where he could be. Chris: That's the problem. Tom: It would take just as long to find him as it would this town. Chris: Maybe not. I don't the town even exists. I have a hunch that, if Volsak is the guy influencing the Linhi, that he's the "miracle man", too. Jake: Hmm... But we have no proof of any of that. Chris: We don't have proof that the town we're hunting exists, either. Jake: Very true. Chris: But we should find Volsak, no matter what. If he's of a high rank, he definitely has some information. Jake: ...Jango, turn us around. We're going back to Smalia. Or we will shoot your ship to a crisp. *The door slowly opens* *evertone comes out with their hands in the air* Commander: Get them! *Lihini troops rush over and take our heros captive* *The Lihini take the heros to a dungon in the main castle and take their weapons away* *There are already people in there* Commander: Hope you don't like food to much. She extends her arms, palms out.* Heat wave! *The bars bend out like liquid then evaporate.* Tom: I didn't know you knew magic. Megan: It's not really magic... It's just... something. Anyway, let's go. *They silently walk out into the hall. A window is at the end of it. Jake leads them over to it.* Jake: Try that heat wave thing on this. It won't make a sound, right? Megan: What if it does? *Extends her arms again.* Heat wave. *The same effect happens on the window. It makes no noise.* Tom: Y'know, that sounds really cheesy when you say that... "heat wave" thing. Megan: Shut up. Tom: Fine. *They climb out as the Linhi notice and run toward them. They run as fast as they can in the direction of the Sky Wolf. They get there to see Linhi in the cockpit, trying to figure out how to start it.* Chris: Hide before they see us... *They get behind trees and boulders, watching the guards.* Jake: What do we do? RE: Linhi Chris: The problem is... we can't get in the Sky Wolf. Jake: Chris, lemme have your grapling hook. Chris: *Hands him the grapling hook.* What are you planning? Jake: Watch and learn. *He goes pretty far back through the woods, to the point where people can hardly see him. He comes around back of the Sky Wolf. He climbs a tree and edges out on the branch. Hooking the grapling hook on the branch, he slides down it, on top of the Sky Wolf. Jake (Thinking): So far, so good. *He opens a hatch on top of the Wolf, unhooks the grapling hook, and falls in, making no noise. He closes the door, then sneaks up behind the two Linhi that are trying to figure out how to start it. He bashes their heads together and pulls them into the back. He activates the guns.* Tom: *Notices the machineguns swiveling.* Oh jeez. Don't tell me he's going to slaughter all them... Jango: No, I think I know what he's up to. *The Sky Wolf lifts off the ground. The guards turn around and look at it, but don't think anything of it, they just think that the two Linhi figured out how to start it. Dirt is blown into the air everywhere as ammunition is poured out of the guns. The guards look around and alarm and start to run. RE: Linhi *They walk around for a few minutes searching for any clues* *They go back out to the Sky Wolf* Jango: Anything? Chris: No... Jake: He's not there. Jango: Strange. Megan: Yeah. Chris: Fly back up to the city and see if we can see anything. Jango: Okee dokee. *Jango hits the throtle and they head back up to the town* *As they are flying towards the capital they see a statue of the old man* Chris: Look at that... Jake: I wonder what it is... Megan: Jake: Let's go into that big building there. *They slowly make their way over to the door.* Tom: This place has quite a lack of windows. Chris: Probably high security. This looks like a job for my grapling hook. *He fires the hook up to the roof. They scale the wall one at a time. There are air conditioners here.* Megan: *Looks around.* Since when do Linhi use machinery? Chris: I have a feeling we're gonna hit the jackpot soon... *Rips an air vent off and drops in. Everybody else follows. On their hands and knees, they crawl slowly and silently through the duct. They come to a vertical shaft.* Chris: *Sets his hook and climbs down through the shaft. Everybody else follows. They come to the bottom and a vent. Chris looks out, watching two Linhi talking. Getting tired of watching, he busts through the vent and brings out his M82.* HEY THERE! WANNA EAT LEAD?!! *The two Linhi stand up and pull out Diamond Swords.* *Battle.* Megan: You must have the best luck in the world, seeing as these guys don't have hyper weapons... Chris: I'm good. Linhi #1 HP: 700 Linhi #2 HP: 700 Jake: *Throws his Diamond Spear at Linhi #1. 95 damage. Linhi #1 HP: 605.* Megan: *Shoots Linhi #1 with her G36. Ammo: 25. 50 damage.
