| RE: Hey whose still active? Hi! Thanks for joining. We seriously need some fresh meat to get things going here again. A few of us are still alive, but we don't really post. We will if you will, though.  I might be able to get Chris Storms and Jake Conner back here occasionally. Gunner still drops in once in a while. Everybody else pretty much left.  Much to Wolf's chagrin, I've kind of dropped this place in favor of my new site, Daireem, which has also gotten inactive, come to think of it. Anyway, this board is a little bit of a superficial mess... (It's a mind-rending mess code-wise.) I might be inspired to clean it up if it finally got active again, though. | RE: Hey whose still active? Hey, I'm trying to find an good roleplay site with battles. Glad to hear someone is still active here after I posted my character. Here, if you want this site to be active again there are alot of things to be done... Basicly clean the site, remake it and make it REBORN 1. Delete the old and unused level, hp, mp and turn system and rules. 2. Create new rules on the new battling system. I recommand like its long paragrafted posts (Adding the detalis and such) like the enemy got 24 hours to respond or else the other player got a chance to attac again. 3. Delete the unactive old posts or just make a new board and put all the old posts there. It makes the site looks old, unactive and messy. 4. After cleaning the site, remake it. I also recommand a better background. Because... No offence but compaired to some other sites I've seen this looks kinda sad/quiet. And I mean by better background is like a lifely background like a city or jungle background. 5. Send messages to old member and tell them to come back to the site because your remaking it. 6. And lastly be active on ads to attact people. AND REMEMBER TO DO THIS ONE LAST. The site needs to be prepared for new members, its simple... | RE: Hey whose still active? And oh, by the way how did I find the site? I was googling yesterday for like "roleplaying message boards forums" And I got a list of them. This site's "Race and Class choice" catches my eyes. And I recommand my some start small. Theres just too many races and WEIRD stuff. Like magic and guns don't fit you know? I want a role playing site thats actually only swords and arrows actually. Because I've been into one of those a few years ago. There's a post in the rules forum saying to basically throw out levels, HP, MP, and the old battle system, but that you can use them if you want.
Interesting prospect. We've thrown out battles because we started writing pretty much when we had time, and battles were too long and boring to write. It sounds like you're saying make rules on battle that are pretty much like they are now, but it doesn't actually involve stats like health, mana, attack power, etc. I don't know how well player vs. player battles would work. There's a "Fights" forum (now down near the bottom under the "Old Threads" category because nobody uses it anymore) where people could fight each other, but that was chaotic.
I used to put old, finished missions in the "Old Missions" forum, but it made them too hard to find, and some of us like to go back and read old stuff. If we had pages in the thread lists (where it would only show, say 20 threads per page to keep the page short) and actually got some new posts, old threads wouldn't be a problem. I'm not going to delete anything, though.
No offense taken. This site actually used to look worse. There were just plain blue backgrounds and gold borders. It was really ugly, and I'm still not happy with how it is now. So maybe some day it'll look better.
Not a bad idea. Despite how many users we have, there were never actually many different people. Most people had two users each, and I have ten. (I get bored sometimes. ) So the user list is cluttered with fifteen different people, not counting the countless users that signed up and never once posted, so it's not likely we'd get anybody back.
The only problem is that classes don't mean anything. Unless stats were implemented, classes are utterly useless.

| RE: Hey whose still active? It seems that back in Meeriad's golden years, "medieval" type weaponry was more popular than it is now. There are still whole civilizations/species on Meeriad, like the Linhi, who, I believe, still use swords, bows, and axes.
