RE: My Book Chapter 1: A new ray of hope The year is 1700 AP, Exactly 14 years after the black mage, Pokiren, attacked our world. He killed many in his rage. Those who survived rebuilt the world. It is now even bigger then ever. The streets are buzzing with life and the forests flourish. The seas and oceans are calm once again. And the people live without fear. But legend has it Pokiren will attack again soon. They say his attacks will not stop until he finally gets to fight the “Chosen One”. Many people prophesized the fight of evil and good, but many others thought of the legend of a fairy tale. But little do they know this “fairy tale” is true. On the anniversary of Pokiren’s attack, a boy was born. He was named Koni after a great warrior who fought and survived in the great battle of Pokiren, 14 years ago. It ran in the young boy’s blood to become a great warrior like his father and as he grew older, he became more skilled in the ways of Martial Arts and Swordsmanship. He was eventually good enough to spar with his father. Soon his skills surpassed his father. He was very skilled indeed. One day Narshi, Koni’s father, told Koni where to find one of the greatest warriors who could perhaps help aid along in Koni’s training. The man Koni seeks is deep within Rashka forest. Koni had hoped that the warrior would help Koni become good enough to fight in the swords tournaments which he had always dreamed of joining. But Koni was not old enough to go yet. In his village of Garskan, for the safety of the people you must be 16 to be able to leave the village gates. But Koni was only 15. Next year he would be allowed to go; and his father will take him to Rashka Village where he will enter the woods and begin his quest. critisize me..tell me what to fix the chapters are short..but theres alot of chapters | Jake Conner 3rd in command of SG&C Mercenary Immortal 3/22/2002 9:11:38 PM Level: 19 Experience: 31340 Total Posts: 1088 |
RE: My Book Chapter 2 Rashka Woods “Father! Will you take me to Rashka Village today? I aim finally old enough.” Koni asked. “Maybe later, I’m a little busy right now.” Replies Narshi. Later that evening Narshi rode Koni to Rashka on horseback. When they arrived at Rashka Narshi gave Koni his old sword for protection. They said their good-byes and Narshi left. Then Koni went to stay at an inn, since it was too dark to go to the woods. That night Koni sat on the edge of his bed and wondered if he’ll ever see his family again. He unsheathed the sword his father gave him and noticed it had a blue shimmering glow to it, there was also something inscribed on it. Koni didn’t understand it, so he thought nothing of it. He says to himself “Maybe that guy in the forest can read it.” He tries to go to sleep, but he can’t sleep. He is very nervous, he tosses and turns and gets hardly any sleep. The next morning he awakes from a horrible nights sleep. He dragged himself out of bed and got dressed. He strapped on his sword then checked out of the inn. He approached the gates to the forest. They were large, steel gates for keeping monsters out of the town. He asks for them to open the gates. Then there was a loud creaking sound as the large gates opened slowly. He entered the forest, aware of what could happen to him. With those thoughts the gates closed behind him. He just hopes he doesn’t make a wrong turn of death is sure to follow. | Jake Conner 3rd in command of SG&C Mercenary Immortal 3/23/2002 6:32:57 PM Level: 19 Experience: 31340 Total Posts: 1088 |
RE: My Book It looks real good so far. And "Rashka"... Is that a reference to the Rashka pearls in the Gardens of Meeriad, or is it a coincidence? | Stasis Archer Bio-Shell Archer Banned (Spamming) Immortal 3/23/2002 6:40:36 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 1308 |
