RE: Unreal Tournament 2003 I almost forgot, I did buy the game... and it is very very very kooo Like most 3D games, I beat it in the first week, but was caught a bit off gaurd at the end... I was head to head against the CPU and... I LOST! I couldn't even blame lag! I beat it the second time though, 9 to 10 The graphics on that game are spectacular, the water, the electricity, the shadows, rendering, movement, limp rag doll bodies flopping against walls, everything realistic. The weapon models and general quality are unmatched by any other game I've played. If you are interested in graphics, you must buy *Jedi mind control* Buuy Gaaame There are mods out the wazzoo coming around already, none finished that I've seen though *tear*. Many of the mods seem to be pretty well made from the screen shots. Whatever graphics engine UT2K3 uses makes everything look pretty Which means yes, even you, could make your own pretty weapons to tear people up with If it hurts, it means you're still alive | Gorath Gun Expert/Howling Wind Agent Mercenary 11/27/2002 6:34:25 PM Level: 7 Experience: 2188 Total Posts: 263 |
RE: Unreal Tournament 2003 Well, the engine it uses is just called, amazingly enough, the "Unreal Engine." Unreal II looks just the same. The only thing that I was disappointed about was there were no reflections of actual objects in the water. It was only a reflection map. My LoM engine is going to look as good, if not, better than UT2k3! *Dreams* It's gonna at least reflect the actual stuff around water, instead of just a reflection map! (Well, technically, it would be a reflection map... but a dynamically-created one rather than a pre-made one.)
